Know Before You Go
Prepare for your stay at 8,500 feet with practical guidance for visiting Duck Creek Village.

Life At 8,500 Feet
Everything You Need To Know
Duck Creek Village is a remote mountain community deep in the Dixie National Forest. That remoteness is exactly what makes it extraordinary and exactly what requires a little preparation. This guide covers everything.

The Village
A Village Unlike Any Other.
Duck Creek Village sits at 8,500 feet in the heart of the Dixie National Forest on Utah's Markagunt Plateau, one of the most striking high-elevation landscapes in the American West. A handful of cabins, a few seasonal businesses, and miles of national forest in every direction. This is not a resort town. It's the real thing.
The village is small by design. No traffic, no crowds, no noise except wind through the pines. What it offers instead: two national parks within an hour, a ski resort 30 miles away, world-class fishing, and 500+ miles of trails right from the doorstep.
